I think it is disgusting that we have come to a stage where we have to pay a visitors Levy . It has been written that this money will be used to keep visitors resources ,which I don't believe at all .Once this money is paid it will be lost .I understand that this type of charge is done in Europe but the weather is there to compensate it .This should be re addressed and get everything holiday let to register with Visit Wales then everyone is on a level playing field
The Regulatory Impact Assessment is set out in Part 2 of the Explanatory Memorandum (https://senedd.wales/media/g5ipwvwh/pri-ld16812-em-e.pdf). This includes the Welsh Government’s assessments of the financial and other impacts of the Bill and its implementation.

We are meant to welcome visitors to Wales. By introducing this Levy prices will have to be increased and there is a Cost of Living crisis and by introducing this it will make matters worse .Some of us are keeping prices as low as possible to give the guest the experience of visiting Wales and also to get the 182 days in . The shops restaurant pubs are relying on tourist for the summer months to keep them open during the winter
The powers to make subordinate legislation are set out in Part 1: Chapter 5 of the Explanatory Memorandum (https://senedd.wales/media/g5ipwvwh/pri-ld16812-em-e.pdf).
The Welsh Government has also set out its statement of policy intent for subordinate legislation (https://business.senedd.wales/documents/s155951/Statement%20of%20Policy%20Intent.pdf).

Yes get all holiday lets whether caravans chalets or cottage to register and pay a sensible fee every 2 years I.e. £100 Then everyone is on the same level I don't think it is fair that cottage / holidayhouses are penalised all the time chalets and caravans should also be included .
